President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the Military Police should be created in Ukraine and a concept of a unified register of veterans should be developed by the end of the year.
He said this at a meeting with the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers on Tuesday, the president’s press service reported.

In particular, the president charged Defense Minister Andriy Zahorodniuk with implementing a new integrated system of command and control of the defense forces in line with the NATO standards by the end of the year. Also, the Defense Ministry must establish the Military Police, a modern effective law enforcement agency.

The president also ordered the Ministry for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons to develop a concept of a unified register of veterans by the end of the year and elaborate draft technical specifications for the E-Veteran platform.

In addition, Zelensky instructed Interior Minister Arsen Avakov to improve procedures for issuing driving licenses by the end of 2019, as well as to simplify the procedures for accreditation of establishments carrying out trainings for drivers.
